The Kalua Development Trust Fund is a Non Governmental Organization that was registered on 16th May 2007 by the registered board of trustees of the Kalua Development Trust Fund under the leadership of Mr.Habib Mndeme.
The Kalua Development Trust Fund finds long term solutions to benefit the community and also the environment. It is currently involved with the following projects:
Kiria Irrigation Scheme
A project done by the Kalua Fund after being financed by the Tanzania / Japan Counterpart Fund.
A 2km furrow to irrigate more than 3000 hecters of land. More Info >>

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES:
The organization shall in addition to all other activities, consider the following aims and objectives;
* To design and assist the community run income generating projects and build capacity to the Communities especially youth and women.
i. To facilitate establishment of Kindergarten Centres in Mwanga District.
ii. To facilitate and encourage establishment of Girls Secondary School including girls Hostels at Mwanga and surrounding villages.
iii. To construct Domestic Science complex to cater for school girls dropouts inorder to acquire domestic science and home craft skills for their future incomes to their households.
iv. To promote and manage classrooms for the disabled and the deaf in Kilimanjaro Region.
v. To promote education for girls in Mwanga District.
vi. To revive the spirit of self development and self reliance particularly in Women in Economics, Education and other social aspects.
vii. To promote solidarity among Men / Women in Mwanga in order to provide sustainable living by investing and dealing with money through poverty eradication.
viii. To promote proper knowledge and skills on economoc utility to recourses within the local area.
ix. To carry out and promote communities to the construction works of Irrigation, agriculture and roads.
x. To sponsor study tours to girls within the country and abroad, and to promote Higher Education for girls.
xi. To provide awareness and knowledge of civic education to women in Mwanga District.
